The a3tag is one of the most significant developments in electronic article surveillance (EAS) security hard tags in the past 30 years.

The a3tag is designed for use primarily on merchandise such as clothing, leather goods, or other accessories. It can be coupled with a metal a3tag pin to make a highly effective anti-theft deterrent, or used in combination with lanyards, ink tags, or other security devices to offer added protection. A special hand detacher - not readily available on the internet - is required to remove the pin from the a3tag.
